Adventist Evangelist Leo Schreven is Dead; Directed a Ministry for Business Professionals

Leo Schreven, an ordained Seventh-day Adventist minister and president
of All Power Seminars, is reported to have died on Sabbath, December
1. This has been announced in an Email by Pastor Stephen Carlile, senior
pastor of the South Tulsa (Oklahoma) Adventist Fellowship, and on
Schreven’s Facebook page.Schreven was an evangelist for the denomination for nearly three decades and then organized an independent ministry in 1998 based on his vision for reaching secular professional and business people. He “began to feel a calling that was much broader than serving in one particular denomination,” he explained in a September 2012 commentary on Outwardbranch.com. He "felt called to serve the entire body of Christ, recognizing God has his people in all denominations.”
He created an approach modeled after motivational speakers called All Power Seminars, “a Bible-based seminar for personal growth, success and achievement” designed to help participants “learn to live up to your full potential.” His was about the only widely-visible Adventist outreach which focused on the interest many people have in becoming wealthy.
The web site for All Power Seminars offers a variety of goal-setting worksheets on finances, health, relationships and emotions, as well as DVDs and other materials by Schreven. It includes testimonials from people who say that his instruction helped them lose weight, advance their careers, get out of debt, etc.

Leo had everything to live for and
knew "THE TRUTH". In light of his extreme good health and his ministry
and his FAMILY, I find it extremely difficult to believe that he could
have taken his own life. He loved Tamara and Ciera dearly and certainly
would never intentionally do something like this to them. There has got
to be more to this than meets the eye! In any case we all need to pray
for his family!!!

Yes it is public now it shows on
his own FB that he commited suicide on a Sabath morning....BUT last
Summer he received a few treaths from the church higher level as Leo was
"exposing" them in his videos...I wouldn't be surprised if someone
actually "framed" and killed him to look like a suicide...I just pray
that if that is true then the real "killer" will be caught!

Leo took his own life in the early morning hours of Dec 1. Unknown to most people, for many years Leo suffered from a complex mental health disorder. Every possible effort was made by Tamara, his family and very close friends encouraging him to get help. Even to the very last, the family repeatedly assured him and let him know he was loved and appreciated. This year he spiraled downward and particularly in the past few months, weeks and days, it was increasingly evident he was experiencing serious complications.

Our minds are fragile, yet powerful, and when things go wrong within them at the deep, subconscious level, an individual can be completely powerless to alter the course of events from the conscious level. It is perhaps an emotionally impossible thing to do, but I think the circumstances of his death should be seen in no more negative a light than if he had passed from a stroke, heart attack or something else.
May his family be given the support, compassion and understanding that any tragic loss deserves.

Not intending to speak ill of the
dead, but just trying to get a sense of what his ministry was actually
all about, per the main article, but my understanding is that he was in
effect a proponent of Prosperity Gospel and perhaps Deliverance
Ministries? I believe I did hear him speak once (unless I am mixing him
up with another of similar ilk), and after some previous experience
attending a Hillsong Church (aka Austrailan and European AOG), where
Prosperity Gospel was the main fair, I was a little concerned about such
consumeristic 'caffeteria Christianity' being promoted within Adventist
Churches. It seems to be on the rise.
How was his ministry any different from the other Amway, Prosperity Gospel and Deliverance Ministries TV evangelist and professional motivational speakers doing the rounds? Money certainly isn't everything, and Christianity isn't a path to riches.
As to suicide, I would think that in most cases people are mentally ill, as Timo's reference above notes, and thus people are arguably no more ethnically responsible than one can be blamed if cancer kills another person. In both cases, the person's illness is often beyond their own control.

Leo Schreven came and did a six-week evangelistic series at our church
in 1997 (this was before the All Power seminars started; it was a
traditional Revelation Seminar). It was one of the few church
evangelistic series that I've been actively involved in and helped out
with. Leo certainly was a strong personality. I found much to like and
admire about him, especially his passion for leading people to the Lord,
his sense of humour, and his energy. There were things in his ministry
approach that I disagreed with, and I certainly had doubts about the
"All Power" seminars as they seemed to me to embody the type of
Christianity that neglects the dark side of faith: suffering and
sacrifice. I think it's impossible not to reflect now upon the irony
inherent in the fact that Leo obviously was all too familiar with
suffering and dark sides, and to wonder why that never made its way into
his public ministry. As Jennifer says, there's that tendency to make
larger-than-life figures of those we admire that doesn't allow them to
be real people with real problems.
That said, I feel no desire to judge Leo Schreven now and feel only sorrow for his family's loss. As soon as I heard the news I assumed he must have struggled with a mental illness and I think it's interesting that we are so uncomfortable with the idea of mental illness that some people feel the need to concoct bizarre conspiracy theories, some refuse to believe it could be true, and some believe that the manner of his death undermines his faith and everything he accomplished. None of these responses would be natural if we heard he had died of an aneurysm or a heart attack. We simply do not believe that mental illness is as real as physical illness, but it is.
My prayers are with his family as they go through this terrible loss.

Having never met Leo in person
(just through his video series) I speak from a certain ignorance and
therefore with caution. However, one thing seems clear. Leo (and those
around him) were not completely transparent with regard to his ministry.
His web site says...
"Leo's video-email workshop will teach YOU how to ESCAPE: debt, never
feeling good, anger, depression, and anxiety, stress, interpersonal
conflict at work and at home. Leave it all BEHIND forever."
Quite obviously he didn't personally leave those things behind. I can't even imagine the pressure he must have felt living what amounted to a double life.

I think you are confusing marketing with "living a double life." Is not faith in God about discovering the freedom from bondage of any type, including financial? What if we managed our finances according to the scriptural model? That would allow us to escape the bondage that debt places on us.
No marketer, not even Adventist evangelists, tells everyone everything about their message. Instead they offer solutions to the needs and problems a person is experiencing. Financial problems are a major contributing factor in most divorces, so showing a couple how to manage their money to get out of debt might also save their marriage. Would that not be a blessing from God?

thought process of imminent death, even though you have no physical pain. a male may be embarrased,
thinking he should be able to overcome it. he may not confide even to his family. without help it can be a killer. thoughts of suicide to escape it can be very strong. it can be caused by toxic meds messing with the
electro/chemical balance in the brain, as well as other causes. you can't handle it alone. if you ever suffer an attack seek immediate attention of a psychiatrist, it is treatable. don't be foolish. don't wait. mine is under control by meds i take for a lifetime.

It seems that Leo had everything
to be happy . I watched some of his videos when he was an evangelist
with " it is written " and I think he was a good speaker . Leo was an
Evangelist for many years , according to his website he was an "
Ordained Pastor ". Unfortunately , it seems that he found a way to get
rich , taking advantage of the connections he had built in the church .
He abused the bible to manipulate people and sell his products . Lesson
that needs to be learned is that we shouldnt just take people words as
if it were the gospel . This man was teaching some heritical doctrines
and a lot of people bought into his prosperity gospel .

I am astounded as to the response
to Leos death. What is evident in the blogs posted is the total lack of
tolerance and acceptance from conservatives for anyone who may not
believe, act or live exactly as they do, or to their standars. Is there
no room for anyone to acceptance for beliefs different to yours?
Intolerance in Christianity has caused blood-shed, pain and suffering
throughout the ages. There are those who say they do not wish to judge
the man, then go ahead and do exactly that.
Firstly none of us have walked in his shoes and have no idea as to what he may or may not have gone through. Secondly, in condeming his work are we not condeming the work of God? Did God not use this man to bring many to an understanding of salvation? How many have been "lost" or driven from Christianity because of our lack of tolerance and self righteousness.

John, I hear where you are coming
from; however, a well known legal principle of evidence comes to mind -
you can't bring up someone's purported bad past unless their purported
good past is brought up. If people bring up in detail Mr Schreven's
ministry, and sing it praises, as one way of reading the AToday article
itself suggests, then it is natural that people who have had other
experiences might wish to offer a different view. That said, I agree
there is a thin line of not speaking ill of the recently deceased.

PRETORIA (AFP) – Michelle Obama touched down in Pretoria late Monday in what officials have billed as her first major solo overseas trip as US first lady, to South Africa and Botswana.
She arrived at Waterkloof Air Force Base in Pretoria at 9.15 pm (1915 GMT).
She is scheduled to meet Nompumelelo Ntuli-Zuma, one of President Jacob Zuma's wives, in Pretoria on Tuesday morning before heading for the Nelson Mandela Foundation in Johannesburg, where she will get a tour from the former president's wife, Graca Machel.
The focus of her trip will be to meet with young Africans, women in particular, to discuss health and education issues. She will also be honoring the legacy of Nelson Mandela and exploring the history of apartheid in South Africa, where the bulk of her visit will take place.
It's expected she will also meet with Botswana President Ian Khama, South African President Jacob Zuma and his wife Nompumelelo Ntuli-Zuma, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, and Nelson Mandela's wife Graca Machel. Machel is also the former first lady of Mozambique. Daughters Malia and Sasha, as well as her mother and her niece and nephew, have joined her on this trip.

She will also give the keynote address at a conference of the Young African Women Leaders Forum, a two-day meeting of 75 women aged 16 to 30 who are playing leadership roles across the continent.

The US State Department described the visit as a mix of policy trip and personal pilgrimage.

Nato leaders have repeatedly called for Muammar Gaddafi to go and air strikes have reportedly killed one of his sons, although western leaders have ruled out the possibility of a land invasion or occupation.

In April the Libyan government backed the AU’s plan for a ceasefire to end the war, but rebels based in Benghazi rejected it saying the plan would allow Gaddafi to cling on to power. Dear Tim, thank you for your communication. I have been off facebook for a while and thus have not picked up communications. I resigned form AD of my own volition but it was because AD have not dealt with my situation according to scripture and the Spirit of Prophecy or SDA Church protocol. They have also been responsible for spreading gossip (via one of their directors) and I would advise anyone who as read their statement on their site to not draw conclusions. MY SITUATION - A REPLY TO QUESTIONS
Since I posted a defence of inaccurate gossip that was posted publicly on the internet regarding me and that has also been communicated via private emails and word of mouth, I have received numerous communications from people asking all sorts of questions. Some of these questions have been from friends and some from complete strangers. Some of the requests for an explanation and more clarity have been presented in a restitutionary and obviously caring manner whereas others have been more in the nature of a demand and have been tinged with accusatory tones on the level of even wanting to know the specific and private details of my issues (in this case I have followed the instruction of Ellen White who does not support publicising all the 'gory details' of people's wrongs). Others have even been of the type to prescribe how and what I should do. Consequently, I have prayed about what I should do next and have also received advice from various people that I respect as to what the best course of action should be. Finally, after again praying about it and then sensing conviction on this matter, I have decided to post this communication which you are now reading. I did put out a note a few days ago that made it clear that I am not trying to paint myself as an innocent victim and that I have committed some serious wrongs – I thank folk for their positive and caring responses to that communication. Notwithstanding this though, because of the requests I have received, and, because of the conviction I feel, I have decided to go against my natural desire for complete privacy and put something 'out there' that might even cause me to run the risk of being judged and perhaps even condemned and ostracised. I will leave the results to God and will trust in the desire of true spirited Christians, and, even others who might read this, to be restitutionary in their actions – let God be the judge of this too.
In no way am I going to use this platform to defend myself or offer extenuating evidence or reasons for why I might have done the wrongs I did – this would be contrary to the Biblical definition of true repentance. God knows all the surrounding issues and as long as He knows and judges I know that I am in safe hands. I did previously defend some false rumours that were going around and I felt justified in doing this, but, from this point on, unless absolutely necessary, I will not even waste my time trying to defend myself against these kinds of rumours either. I have been guilty of being unfaithful to my wife, taking dishonest actions to cover my wrongs and have caused many folk, especially those close to me, great hurt and sorrow ,and, finally, the result has been divorce. My actions have also, due to my profile as a speaker for Amazing Discoveries and, simply due to the fact that I am known in so many places around the world, also put a great blemish on the cause of God. Regardless of what I might view as contributing circumstances, there can never be a justification for breaking God's commandments and I do not seek to even attempt to offer such justification. I have confessed and asked those close to me, that have been directly affected by my wrongs, to forgive me. But, due to the fact that my actions have had an even wider effect, I now ask, publicly, for forgiveness. I have already made the decision to put this behind me and have made a recommitment to the Lord. In this I feel at peace and know that He will lead me into the future – I am safe in His hands. But, I also plead, on a public level, for the opportunity to make a new start. I ask for your prayers and, even though I am undeserving, for your understanding and acceptance too. I do not know what God has in mind for me. If He does not see fit to allow me to once again do ministry (after a suitable period), then this will be up to Him – I will wait and see what doors He sees fit to open. If He does see it within His plan to open such doors, then I hope and pray that this experience I have gone through will be turned around and used as a means to witness for Him and be a blessing to others who might be struggling with similar issues. I thank the Lord for His mercy and forgiveness and I thank those of you who have also manifested the wonderful Christian spirit which you have. I move forward in the knowledge that God is in control and will work things out to His glory in the end. Yes, what you see is correct and I also couldn't believe my eyes when I first read it on someone's post. This is true and I confirmed by an email to a friend who is a Professor at Oakwood. T.D. Jakes will be speaking at Oakwood University's Annual Evangelism Council for Minsters in December.
What comes to my mind is the offering of strange fire on the altar. Do we not have awesome speakers from our own denomination that can lead out in this? There's CD Brooks, Byron Spears, others that would do an awesome job, but why or why are we going to other denominations about evangelism?
Okay, I'm sorry for rainting, but this is really bothering me especially since this man speaks so much against the SDA church. To me he's like an enemy and we have brought the enemy into our camp.

A North Carolina state task force is holding a public listening session later this month for victims of the state’s now defunct eugenics law to come forward and share their stories. The session is part of an effort to compensate those who were forcibly sterilized decades ago. The majority of victims were poor black women, and many were minors or the victims of rape or incest.
“The fewer black babies we have the better, that’s what some people said,” Professor Paul Lombardo told the BBC about the program. “They’re just going to end up on welfare.”
North Carolina is one of 32 states that passed laws that allowed the sterilization of people deemed “unfit to breed,” and ultimately took away the reproductive rights of more than 60,000 people nationwide. The programs targeted people deemed to be criminals, juvenile delinquents, the mentally ill, women considered to be “sexual deviants,” gay men, and people suffering from epilepsy. Those on welfare were targeted as well, especially African Americans after welfare became available to them in the 1960s, because they were seen as a drain on the system.
Operations were often done without the victim’s knowledge. Sterilization was also sometimes used as a condition for release from prison or a hospital, or as an ultimatum to cutting off benefits.
In 1968, 13-year-old Elaine Riddick was raped by a neighbor. After giving birth in a hospital, a social worker deemed her “feeble minded” and officials coerced her illiterate grandmother to sign an “X” on an authorization form to have her sterilized.
“My grandmother was afraid that if she didn’t sign the paper, they would cut off her benefits, like the canned food she got every week,” Riddick said. “So she signed, without understanding what sterilization or tubal ligation really meant.” Riddick, now 57, plans to testify at the session.
Eugenics enjoyed wide support among progressives like Woodrow Wilson and Alexander Graham Bell, and from members of the National Academy of Sciences and the American Medical Association. “It is better for all the world, instead of waiting to execute degenerate offspring for crime or to let them starve for their imbecility, society can prevent those who are manifestly unfit from continuing their kind,” Supreme Court Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr. wrote in the 1927 ruling that upheld the legality of compulsory sterilization. “Three generations of imbeciles are enough.” The 1927 ruling was never overturned. However, in 1942, the Supreme Court ruled against punitive sterilization.
Many states began abandoning their eugenics programs after World War II, fearing comparisons to Nazis’ eugenics practices in Germany. But North Carolina’s program actually grew stronger after the 1940s, bolstered by financial support from some of the state’s wealthiest residents. That is why the state is believed to have more surviving victims, almost 40 percent of the over 7,500 sterilized, even though it is behind Virginia and California as the states with the highest numbers of sterilizations. North Carolina was also unique in that it was the only state that used social workers to urge sterilization, and allowed people to petition the state to have someone sterilized. The program lasted until the late 1970s and the state’s eugenics law was removed from the books in 2003.

It is hard to believe the public law that authorized AIDS will be thirty one years old next week. Even more remarkable, that in a score and a half, no one has ever read it!
On March 16, 1970, following significant world events both in medicine and politics, President Richard Milhouse Nixon signed into law the U.S. policy to protect America's future by "stabilizing" the population of Sub-Sahara Africa. The history leading to the politics is relevant in our further presentation of the "research logic"Flow Chart of the federal virus program.
On April 4, 1969, President Richard Nixon did not want to be late. He had been there many times before, but today was special. He wanted the scientific and medical communities from around the world to hear and see his presence as our military scientists and doctors announced, 'they could effectively make AIDS.' It was Fort Detrick, Maryland and the ethnic nature of the work would not be printed until November '70.
Unbeknownst to the American people, the Special Virus program had been underway since November, 1961. In a real sense, the current trillion dollar 'tax' "give back" to U.S. taxpayers, is in essence the benefit of our sharpened ability to kill humans for a better tomorrow for our financial investment in our trust in God.

A very strong case builds that the desire to introduce Visna (wasting) into humans is the direct result of the true tilt of the ethnic/social landscape to the detriment of racial and social minorities.

On May 11, 1987, The London Times, one of the world's most respected newspapers, published an explosive article entitled, "Smallpox vaccine triggered AIDS virus." The story suggested the smallpox eradication vaccine program sponsored by the WHO was responsible for unleashing AIDS in Africa. Almost 100 million Africans living in central Africa were inoculated by the WHO. The vaccine was held responsible for awakening a "dormant" AIDS virus infection on the continent.
An advisor to the WHO admitted, "Now I believe the smallpox vaccine theory is the explanation for the explosion of AIDS." Robert Gallo, M,D., the co-discoverer of HIV, told The Times, "The link between the WHO program and the epidemic is an interesting and important hypothesis. I cannot say that it actually happened, but I have been saying for some years that the use of live vaccines such as that used for smallpox can activate a dormant infection such as HIV." Despite the tremendous importance of this story, the U.S. media was totally silent on the report, and Gallo never spoke of it again.
In September 1987, at a conference sponsored by the National Health Federation in Monrovia, California, William Campbell Douglass, M.D., bluntly blamed the WHO for murdering Africa with the AIDS virus. In a widely circulated reprint of his talk entitled "W.H.O. Murdered Africa" , he accused the organization of encouraging virologists and molecular biologists to work with deadly animal viruses in an attempt to make an immunosuppressive hybrid virus that would be deadly to humans. From the Bulletin of the World Health Organization (Volume 47, p.259, 1972), he quoted a passage that stated: "An attempt should be made to see if viruses can in fact exert selective effects on immune function. The possibility should be looked into that the immune response to the virus itself may be impaired if the infecting virus damages, more or less selectively, the cell responding to the virus." According to Douglass, "That's AIDS. What the WHO is saying in plain English is Let's cook up a virus that selectively destroys the T-cell system of man, an acquired immune deficiency.'"

The Aids epidemic may have been triggered by the mass vaccination campaign which eradicated smallpox. The World Health Organization, which masterminded the 13-year campaign, is studying new scientific evidence suggesting that immunization with the smallpox vaccine Vaccinia awakened the unsuspected, dormant human immuno defence virus infection (HIV).
Some experts fear that in obliterating one disease, another disease was transformed from a minor endemic illness of the Third World into the current pandemic. While doctors now accept that Vaccinia can activate other viruses, they are divided about whether it was the main catalyst to the Aids epidemic.
But an adviser to WHO who disclosed the problem, told The Times: 'I thought it was just a coincidence until we studied the latest findings about the reactions which can be caused by Vaccinia. Now I believe the smallpox vaccine theory is the explanation to the explosion of Aids.' 'In obliterating one disease, another was transformed.'
Further evidence comes from the Walter Reed Army Medical Centre in Washington. While smallpox vaccine is no longer kept for public health purposes, new recruits to the American armed services are immunized as a precaution against possible biological warfare. Routine vaccination of a 19-year-old recruit was the trigger for stimulation of dormant HIV virus into Aids.
This discovery of how people with subclinical HIV infection are at risk of rapid development of Aids as a vaccine-induced disease was made by a medical team working with Dr Robert Redfield at Walter Reed. The recruit who developed Aids after vaccination had been healthy throughout high school. He was given multiple immunizations, followed by his first smallpox vaccination.
Two and a half weeks later he developed fever, headaches, neck stiffness and night sweats. Three weeks later he was admitted to Walter Reed suffering from meningitis and rapidly developed further symptoms of Aids and died after responding for a short time to treatment. There was no evidence that the recruit had been involved in any homosexual activity.
In describing their discovery in a paper published in the New England Journal of Medicine a fortnight ago, the Walter Reed team gave a warning against a plan to use modified versions of the smallpox vaccine to combat other diseases in developing countries.
Other doctors who accept the connection between the anti-smallpox campaign and the Aids epidemic now see answers to questions which had baffled them. How, for instance, the Aids organism, previously regarded by scientists as 'weak, slow and vulnerable,' began to behave like a type capable of creating a plague.
Many experts are reluctant to support the theory publicly because they believe it would be interpreted unfairly as criticism of WHO. In addition, they are concerned about the impact on other public health campaigns with vaccines, such as against diptheria and the continued use of Vaccinia in potential Aids research.
The coincidence between the anti-smallpox campaign and the rise of Aids was discussed privately last year by experts at WHO. The possibility was dismissed on grounds of unsatisfactory evidence. Advisors to the organization believed then that too much attention was being focussed on Aids by the media.
It is now felt that doubts would have risen sooner if public health authorities in Africa had more willingly reported infection statistics to WHO. Instead, some African countries continued to ignore the existence of Aids even after US doctors alerted the world when the infection spread to the United States.
However, as epidemiologists gleaned more information about Aids from reluctant Central African countries, clues began to emerge from the new findings when examined against the wealth of detail known about smallpox as recorded in the Final Report of the Global Commission for the Certification of Smallpox Eradication.
The smallpox vaccine theory would account for the position of each of the seven Central African states which top the league table of most-affected countries; why Brazil became the most afflicted Latin American country; and how Haiti became the route for the spread of Aids to the US. It also provides an explanation of how the infection was spread more evenly between males and females in Africa than in the West and why there is less sign of infection among five to 11-year-olds in Central Africa.
Although no detailed figures are available, WHO information indicated that the Aids league table of Central Africa matches the concentration of vaccinations. The greatest spread of HIV infection coincides with the most intense immunization programmes, with the number of people immunised being as follows: Zaire 36,878,000; Zambia 19,060,000; Tanzania 14,972,000; Uganda 11,616,000; Malawai 8,118,000; Ruanda 3,382,000 and Burundi 3,274,000.
Brazil, the only South American country covered in the eradication campaign, has the highest incidence of Aids in that region. About 14,000 Haitians, on United Nations secondment to Central Africa, were covered in the campaign. They began to return home at a time when Haiti had become a popular playground for San Francisco homosexuals.
Dr Robert Gello, who first identified the Aids virus in the US, told The Times: 'The link between the WHO programme and the epidemic in Africa is an interesting and important hypothesis. 'I cannot say that it actually happened, but I have been saying for some years that the use of live vaccines such as that used for smallpox can activate a dormant infection such as HIV. 'No blame can be attached to WHO, but if the hypothesis is correct it is a tragic situation and a warning that we cannot ignore.'
Aids was first officially reported from San Francisco in 1981 and it was about two years later before Central African states were implicated. It is now known that these states had become a reservoir of Aids as long ago as the later 1970s.
Although detailed figures of Aids cases in Africa are difficult to collect, the more than two million carriers, and 50,000 deaths, estimated by the World Health Organization are concentrated in the Countries where the smallpox immunization programme was most intensive. The 13-year eradication campaign ended in 1980, with the saving of two million lives a year and 15 million infections. The global saving from eradication has been put at dollars 1,000 million a year.
Charity and health workers are convinced that millions of new Aids cases are about to hit southern Africa. After a meeting of 50 experts near Geneva this month it was revealed that up to 75 million, one third of the population, could have the disease within the next five years.
Some organizations which have closely studied Africa, such as War on Want, believe that South Africa's black population, so far largely protected from the disease, could be most affected as migrant workers bring it into the country from the worst hit areas further north. The apartheid policy, they predict, will intensify its outbreak by confining the groups into comparatively small, highly populated towns where it will be almost impossible to contain its spread.

SYNTHETIC BIOLOGICAL AGENTS
There are two things about the biological agent field I would like to mention. One is the possibility of technological surprise. Molecular biology is a field that is advancing very rapidly and eminent biologists believe that within a period of 5 to 10 years it would be possible to produce a synthetic biological agent, an agent that does not naturally exist and for which no natural immunity could have been acquired.
MR. SIKES. Are we doing any work in that field?
DR. MACARTHUR. We are not.
MR. SIKES. Why not? Lack of money or lack of interest?
DR. MACARTHUR. Certainly not lack of interest.
MR. SIKES. Would you provide for our records information on what would be required, what the advantages of such a program would be. The time and the cost involved?

The dramatic progress being made in the field of molecular biology led us to investigate the relevance of this field of science to biological warfare. A small group of experts considered this matter and provided the following observations:
1. All biological agents up the the present time are representitives of naturally occurring disease, and are thus known by scientists throughout the world. They are easily available to qualified scientists for research, either for offensive or defensive purposes.
2. Within the next 5 to 10 years, it would probably be possible to make a new infective microorganism which could differ in certain important aspects from any known disease-causing organisms. Most important of these is that it might be refractory to the immunological and therapeutic processes upon when we depend to maintain our relative freedom from infectious disease.
3. A research program to explore the feasibility of this could be completed in approximately 5 years at a total cost of $10 million.

I have the honor to transmit for your consideration the Final Report, containing the findings and recommendations, of the Commission on Population Growth and the American Future, pursuant to Sec. 8, PL 91-213.
After two years of concentrated effort, we have concluded that, in the long run, no substantial benefits will result from further growth of the Nation’s population, rather that the gradual stabilization of our population through voluntary means would contribute significantly to the Nation’s ability to solve its problems. We have looked for, and have not found, any convincing economic argument for continued population growth. The health of our country does not depend on it, nor does the vitality of business nor the welfare of the average person.
The recommendations offered by this Commission are directed towards increasing public knowledge of the causes and please=”consequences of population change, facilitating and guiding the processes of population movement, maximizing information about human reproduction and its consequences for the family, and enabling individuals to avoid unwanted fertility.
To these ends we offer this report in the hope that our findings and recommendations will stimulate serious consideration of an issue that is of great consequence to present and future generations.

There has long been speculation about the real identity of the actual biological father of the former United States President William Jefferson Clinton. According to Bill Clinton's White House biographyhis real father was Bill Blythe III, who had been killed in an automobile accident before the President was even born; however many in Arkansas claim that Blythe had only been back in the United States for six months prior to Clinton's birth.
William Jefferson Clinton ran for the United States House of Representatives (not the Arkansas State house) less than six month after getting his law degree from Yale Law School. He served as Jimmy Carter's Arkansas state campaign manager, while also teaching at the University of Arkansas School of Law, and also manages to get himself elected as the Arkansas State attorney general in 1976, and elected as the governor of the state of Arkansas in 1978 (having only been in public services for less than two (2) years).

We have a missionary machinery that is unmatached by any Christian organization on planet earth. It reaches into every corner of the known world. We have a message that T. D. Jakes and his kind have mocked and rejected. We need to pray for these leaders that they would repent and return to God.
Whatever happens from this incident, the line of distinction between those who serve God and those who serve Him not (including our leaders) will become more disceranable. What our ministers need is
not a motivational speech from a priest of Baal, but rather heartfelt consecration to the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy.

That would only come by a heartfelt consecration to prayer, study of the Bible and acceptance of the Spirit of Prophecy. It is obvious that these are lacking from their lives. May each member of God’s remnant church study for themselves and not be deceived by the Balaams in our midst.

Since the late Evangelist E. E. Cleveland birthed the idea of Evangelism Council, our passion has been the growth and development of local churches and frontline pastors. Each year we explore effective approaches for public and personal evangelism, church growth, and leadership development. This year not only will we offer an amazing collection of workshops, but we are introducing, “Super-Plenaries” that will provide even more time to explore vital issues.
Over the years we have taken up the unique challenge to reach out to ministers of other denominations. Ministers such as Gardner C. Taylor, Floyd Flake, Julius Scruggs and Renita Weems have not only shared our pulpit but they have opened their pulpits to us. The dialogue and fellowship have been fantastic. In that spirit, our special guest this year will be Bishop T. D. Jakes, the Senior Pastor of the Potters House Church in Dallas, Texas.
